A Foundation stone reads, " St Michael's Memorial Church was solemnly blessed and opened by Most Rev Bernard Stewart DD BA LLB Bishop of Sandhurst September 15th 1957. Reverend Fr G.L. Sait Parish Priest"
A wall plaque reads, " This plaque which commemorates the centenary of the establishment of Michaels parish Tallangatta was blessed on 17th April 2016 by Most Reverend Leslie Tomlinson DD Bishop of Sandhurst Father Joseph Pothenparampil PP".
