History and Architecture:

The first Anglican (Church of England) were held Railway Staiton waiting room and at the Primary School.

A local builder, W N Griffith & Son, built St Andrews Church of England in 1929 with Archdeacon Morgan Payler dedicating the church on 30th November. Possibly 'attending' clergy provided service until 1936 when Rev. Frederick Morton became the first known clergy. In the early days single clergy lived in rooms adjoining the church.

On 8th September 1940, local people gathered in the Church of England for the Commonwealth 'National Prayer' to mark the end of the second year of World War II.

Declared a Parish in 1961, Manangatang is now part of the Parish of Robinvale-Manangatang.
