History and Architecture:
First services were held in the Lyceum Theatre and private homes. By the first annual meeting 14th Aug 1925 land on the corner of Wakaden and Whitton Streets had been secured and the Church was being built.
The first Church was opened on 18th - 20th January 1926. The Church with a front vestibule and two vestries at the back of the Church was built at a cost of £600 to seat 100 worshippers. This Church was later given to Pioneer Museum.
The current Church was built in 1971 from plans of Mr Burman.
