A decision to build a wooden Church was made in 1860 but as subscriptions were so liberal a tender by Messrs Scott Brothers to build a stone church was accepted and on 16th March 1862 the new Church was opened. The newer church was built in 1936 and is St Andrew's Uniting Church".
