History and Architecture:

The Foundation stone was laid in February 1900.

The Church of Christ congregation was established in Williamstown with the construction of a corrugated iron building in 1893.

By 1900 the members of the church had raised sufficient funds to construct a simple stone chapel which was opened on 20 May 1900. It is a simple hall form masonry church with a small brick porch to one end, and the foundation stone says "Jesus Only, February 15, 1900." In 1906 a schoolroom was constructed, attached to the rear of the church and this was extended in 1928.

The front porch was added after this date.
