History and Architecture:
The establishment of regular services in Warragul by those connected with Churches of Christ took place in 1886 Several members of the church, who had previously attended the Methodist Church, joined together and commenced to hold regular meetings in a house in Bowen Street.
In 1903, a mission conducted in a large marquee by H. G. Harvard, the congregation was more than doubled, and the matter of securing a building of their own was seriously discussed by the members. However, nothing definite was done for some time, until a suitable site in palmerston Street was acquired.
In August 1992 the church leased the land on the other side of the creek on the west side of the church building to a tree farmer who used the land for growing nursery plants for the next five years with rent paid quarterly to the church.
